This is the official blog for the Alaska Home and Garden website. I will be using this blog to talk about life in Alaska and what I am up to and about projects I am working on or contemplating. From getting ready for the changing seasons here in the Last Frontier to projects for the home and garden in cold climates this website and blog intends to cover a wide variety of aspects covering life in Alaska.
Those from outside of Alaska can also benefit from many of the information that will be found here in the months to come. Whether it is information on how to cook a good salmon fillet or my current project of building a workspace in my home office, there is a lot of things that are just good old common projects and recipes that will apply no matter your geographic location.
And there will be plenty for Alaskans as well, from information on when the blue berries are ripe in Hacthers Pass to what the salmon are doing up at Rabideaux.
So, come along and spend a little time watching the bears and moose with me and lets explore some of what makes Alaska such a breathtaking state to live in.
