Iditarod, puppies and melting snow

It’s hard to believe that it has been so long since I have written anything for this.

The Iditarod is underway, the leaders already well past McGrath.  Lance Mackey, Jeff King and Kjetil Backen all apparently taking a nice long rest in Takotna.  300 miles up the trail from the race start.

Me?  I’m contemplating what to do with a litter of future-wanna-be Iditarod winners.  ::snicker:: My nephew’s dog had puppies in my office back on February 9th, they’re running all over on uncoordinated legs at the moment and making nice little barks and howls.  I need to get the old playpen out of the basement and set it up so they can romp in it instead of all over the house.

Outside the snow is melting off, I’m hoping this means an early spring.  It would definitely be nice to have green grass instead of white snow for Easter.  I bought a couple of little greenhouse deals for starting plants in, need to buy more the next time I get into town so I can start some flowers and garden vegetables to be planted in the garden and flower beds in the spring.
