Snow and Moose

It has been snowing again, we got a rather nice coating of the yucky white fluff out there.

I went out to my brother’s garage the other day.  Forgot a cardinal rule of snow.  Never underestimate it.  Came out the side door, closed the door and I just automatically glanced up at the light for some stupid reason to see if it was on.  Full shovel’s worth of fluffy snow right in the face and down the back of not just my jacket, but my shirt too.  Really annoyed me, and I still had to stay out for a few and feed the dogs.  Teach me to underestimate that treacherous stuff.

We also have moose, thanks to the snow.  I looked out my office window the other evening, just about dark out, and there was a moose at my office window.  Top of his shoulders was visible in the window, so he had to be a good 6′ to the shoulders because I can’t see in that window from outside.  Couldn’t get picture and wasn’t about to use flash even if it would have worked through the glass.  Ah well, he’s here to stay.  My sister left a few hours later and said he was sleeping just off the road at the end of the driveway.
