I was looking at the Amazon website for Alaskan themed items that I might want to feature here, such as the ulu in the sidebar, and I found the following listing for an Alaskan bumper sticker (highlighting was done by me to draw attention to the pertinent sections):
Now… I’m not sure about you, but I don’t exactly need to see a larger image to know that is for California, not Alaska. I sent my friend, who lives in California, to the page and after a long silence she came back with: “WTF?!?”
Reminds me of the time one of my friends looked up the listing for her westen novel Genesis there and found that it had a description for the first book of the Bible. That has been corrected, but it does leave me wondering just how many other mistakes there are in the descriptions of things listed at Amazon. They need to have someone go through checking things to make sure that the entries are accurate.
